Namibia continue European tour with three-match T20I series in Germany - get full schedule

The Germany women’s cricket team will host Namibia in a three-match T20I series starting Saturday, July 2.

The Germans were last involved in the 2022 Kwibuka Women's Twenty20 Tournament 2022, where they beat Botswana Women by six wickets in the seventh-place playoff. 

The Anuradha Doddaballapur-led German side has won just one of their last 10 T20I matches and will look to make the most of their maiden outing against Namibia.

On the other hand, the Namibia cricket team head into the Germany tour after they wrap up their five-match T20I series against the Netherlands. The series, tied at 2-2, will be decided in its final game on Friday, July 1, and following the fixture, Irene van Zyl and Co. will travel straight to Krefeld in Germany.

Namibia’s last outing saw them slump to a five-run loss against the Dutch. Put to bat first, Namibia were restricted to a score of 130/8 in 20 overs with Yasmeen Khan the top run-getter (69 off 44 balls). With rain making an appearance in the tie, the revised conditions required Netherlands to chase 67 in 11 overs and they did so with eight wickets in hand.

All three matches of the T20I series will be played at the Bayer Uerdingen Cricket Ground in Krefeld. The second and third T20Is are scheduled on Sunday.
