The inaugural Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) will start on July 11 and conclude on July 25 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Organised by 1X Sports and the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi Association, the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League 2024 will see as many as eight teams compete in a total of 59 matches for the inaugural title.
The upcoming UP-based tournament will aim to promote kabaddi and also provide a platform for the talented youngsters to showcase their skills.

The UPKL 2024 teams include eight franchises representing different regions of Uttar Pradesh. Here are the eight UPKL 2024 teams.

UPKL 2024 venue
All UPKL 2024 matches will be played at the Noida Indoor Stadium in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
UPKL 2024 player auction
The UPKL 2024 player auction witnessed a total of 350-400 players go under the hammer from 10 AM to 8 PM on Monday, June 10.
These players were categorised under four categories: A, B, C, and D. The base price for Category A players was set at INR 1 lakh, while Category B players had a base price of INR 60,000. Category C and D players had base prices of INR 40,000 and INR 25,000, respectively.
Indian kabaddi stars Arjun Deshwal and Vinay Tevathiya became the most expensive buys in the UPKL 2024 player auction.
While Lucknow Lions roped in Arun Deshwal for INR 3.10 lakh, Yamuna Yodhas acquired Vinay Tevathiya for the same price of INR 3.10 lakh.
Young raider Abhijit Malik (INR 2.60 lakh) and defender Ashu Singh (INR 1.50 lakh) were the other expensive buys in the inaugural UPKL player auction.
Meanwhile, each UPKL team will have 15 players, with a total of 120 participants from across UP and other regions of India.
