Spain take on Germany in the Group E clash of the FIFA World Cup 2022 at the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar on November 28. The match is scheduled to start at 12:30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST).

The Spain national football team has made a terrific start to their World Cup campaign, winning the opening game against Costa Rica 7-0.

Forward Ferran Torres scored a brace as Dani Olmo, Marco Asensio, Gavi, Carlos Soler and Alvaro Morata netted one each to cap off what was the biggest win recorded in the competition’s history.

On the other hand, the Germany national football team suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss against Japan in their tournament opener.

Veteran midfielder Ilkay Gundogan’s spot kick was cancelled out by Japan’s substitute Ritsu Doan before Takuma Asano sealed all three points for the Maya Yoshida-led side.

It is tough to separate the two European heavyweights as far as head-to-head matchups are concerned.

However, analysing their recent form, Luis Enrique-coached Spain can be backed to win this encounter.

La Roja have been in good form in the build-up to the World Cup. They have lost only one of the previous 10 matches across competitions and will be looking for another victory after a superb start in the ongoing marquee event.

Moreover, Spain thrashed Germany 6-0 when the two sides met last time out in 2020, suggesting that the 2010 World Cup champions have a psychological advantage ahead of the highly-anticipated fixture.

SPA vs GER Dream11 team tips for FIFA World Cup 2022

Top tip: Best forward

With Kai Havertz’s struggling in front of goal against Japan, Spanish striker Alvaro Morata gets the nod ahead of the German. The 8.5-credit striker is expected to lead the line-up from the start after a substitute appearance against Costa Rica, where he assisted the fifth and scored the seventh goal to complete the 7-0 rout.

Furthermore, he was on target against Die Mannschaft when the two sides last met in 2020.

Top tip: Best midfielder

Spain midfielder Pablo Gavira will be an ideal pick among midfielders. The 18-year-old has been in decent form of late, getting on the scoresheet in each of the last two matches for La Roja, including the 7-0 demolition of Costa Rica in the opening match. The footballer, valued at 8 credits, has been a valuable presence in the centre of the field for Spain with a 97% passing accuracy. The teenager will once again look to make decisive contributions against Germany.

Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper

Germany left-back David Raum will be our recommendation from the defenders’ roster. In addition to performing defensive duties, he has been a threat in the opposition box as well and won the penalty in the last match against Japan. Also, he created a total of four chances in addition to his 88% pass accuracy. The 7.5-credit man can prove to be a tough player to get past for the Spanish wingers.

Germany Goalie Manuel Neuer gets the nod ahead of Spanish counterpart Unai Simon. The 8-credit shot-stopper had a decent outing between the uprights against Japan despite conceding two goals as he had 60 touches, four recoveries and a 93% passing accuracy. Neuer is likely to make more blocks, saves and interceptions given Spain’s attackers’ form, which can add important points to his tally.
