Liverpool host Everton for the 60th Merseyside Derby of the Premier League era at Anfield on Sunday, April 24. The match will kick off at 9:00 PM IST.

LFC are hoping to have forward Roberto Firmino back in the team after the Brazilian missed the 4-0 thumping of Manchester United in the mid-week.

The 30-year-old missed the tie due to a foot injury and Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that there are high chances of him getting involved in the match.

Everton, on the other hand, will be without several first-team regulars. This involves Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Andros Townsend, Tom Davies and Nathan Patterson.

Liverpool vs Everton recent form

Liverpool, fresh off from a 4-0 thumping of Manchester United, have endured a difficult run of fixtures, having faced Manchester United, Manchester City and Benfica (both twice) in their last five matches.

Of these matches, they have knocked Benfica out of the Champions League and while their league match against City ended in a 2-2 draw, they did manage to beat them 3-2 in the FA Cup semi-final.

Everton, on the other hand, have been truly disappointing this season. The team has won just one of their last five matches.

Liverpool vs Everton prediction and tips for Premier League 2021-22

The fiery encounter between Liverpool and Everton has always produced goals. The last time these two sides met, Mohamed Salah scored a brace while a goal each from Jordan Henderson and Diogo Jota completed a 4-1 routing at Goodison Park.

Liverpool’s ongoing form, coupled with their recent return against Everton makes them the outright favourites to win Sunday’s contest. This pretty much justifies why the odds are in their favour.
