The UEFA Euro 2024 group stage draw will take place in Hamburg, Germany on Saturday, December 2.
Organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the highly-anticipated event will be held at the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall from 10:30 PM Indian Standard Time (6 PM local time).
Following the completion of the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, as many as 21 of the 24 teams have booked their place for the UEFA European Football Championship 2024 to be hosted across 10 venues in Germany from June 14 to July 14.
The final three spots will be competed for by 12 teams based on their performances in the Nations League 2022-23 to be held in March 2024.
There will be six semi-finals on March 21, 2024 and three finals on March 26, 2024. The winners of the three finals will advance to the UEFA Euro 2024 main tournament.
UEFA Euro 2024 qualified teams
Hosts Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Turkey, Austria, England, Hungary, Slovakia, Albania, Denmark, Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland, Serbia, Czechia, Slovenia, Italy, and Croatia have qualified for the UEFA Euro 2024 final tournament.
UEFA Euro 2024 draw pots
A total of 24 teams have been divided into four pots (1, 2, 3, 4) of six teams each.
Pot 1 includes hosts Germany along with five group winners with the best record in the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers.
On the other hand, Pot 2 comprises the other group winners along with the runners-up with the best record.
Pot 3 and 4 have the other group runners-up, in order of points.
The three playoff winners have been clubbed in Pot 4. Since the playoffs are yet to be played until March, they will appear in the draw as Playoff A, Playoff B and Playoff C.
As per the format, there will be six groups of four teams, with each group having one team from each pot.
Pot 1: Germany (hosts), Portugal, France, Spain, Belgium, England
Pot 2: Hungary, Turkey, Romania, Denmark, Albania, Austria
Pot 3: Netherlands, Scotland, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic
Pot 4: Italy, Serbia, Switzerland, Play-off winner A, Play-off winner B, Play-off winner C
Where to watch UEFA Euro 2024 draw live in India?
Live streaming of the UEFA Euro 2023-24 draw will be available on UEFA’s website, YouTube channel and UEFA Euro 2024 app.
There is yet to be any confirmation if the draw will be televised on any TV channel in India.
