Manchester City (MCI) take on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Matchday 5 of the UEFA Champions League 2021-22 season at the Etihad Stadium in the early hours of Thursday, November 25. The Group A match will kick off at 1:30 AM IST.

MCI vs PSG Dream11 prediction

What gives Manchester City an edge in this encounter is PSG’s substandard record away from home in the Champions League. Although the team from Paris has defeated City once in the group stage already this season, they have struggled on the road in the continental championship, having played two draws against Club Brugge and RB Leipzig.

Furthermore, City will be eager to avenge their earlier loss to PSG and will be keen to make amends in front of their home faithful, making them marginal favourites to win the contest.

MCI vs PSG Dream11 team tips for UEFA Champions League 2021-22

Top tip: Best forward

While Lionel Messi is one option, we recommend you to go with Kylian Mbappe as your preferred striker. The 22-year-old PSG forward is in some form this season and is coming off the back of a Player of the Match display against Nantes in Ligue 1. Mbappe has assisted five goals as well as scored once in four Champions League fixtures so far. Needless to say, he will be a huge attacking threat to City on Thursday.

Top tip: Best midfielder

With Kevin De Bruyne absent, Bernardo Silva becomes an automatic pick for a midfielder. While the Portuguese is yet to make an impact in the Champions League, he has been in fine form nonetheless. The technically gifted midfielder has four goals and an assist across all competitions to his name this season.

Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper

It’s tough to pick between Achraf Hakimi and Joao Cancelo, but our recommendation would be the latter considering his form in the competition. The Portuguese full-back has scored two goals and has provided three assists in four Champions League outings, making him a must-have player for this contest.

PSG have preferred Gianluigi Donnarumma over Keylor Navas in the Champions League and the Italian should be your keeper ahead of MCI’s Ederson. Given how vulnerable PSG have been defensively at times this season, Donnarumma will be called into action more frequently than his counterpart.

MCI vs PSG probable playing XI
