Goals from James Tavernier, Glen Kamara and John Lundstram in the second leg propelled the Gers to reach a final of a European competition for the fifth time in the club’s history [UEFA Cup/Europa League - 2007–08, 2021-22; UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup - 1960–61, 1966–67, 1971–72].
