Barcelona’s pre-season 2022-23 starts on July 13 - get schedule

FC Barcelona’s pre-season 2022-23 will begin against Spanish fifth division side Unió Esportiva Olot to be played at the Camp Municipal d'Olot in Girona on Wednesday, July 13.

Under head coach Xavi, FCB will look to make use of all the pre-season games in order to bounce back from a disappointing campaign in the 2021-22 season.

After playing the opening pre-season fixture in Spain, the Catalan squad will travel to the United States to compete in the inaugural Soccer Champions Tour.

Barcelona will start their USA leg by taking on David Beckham-owned MLS club Inter Miami on July 20.

The tour also features an El Clasico against arch-rivals Real Madrid at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on July 24.

Xavi’s men will conclude the USA tour by locking horns with Juventus on July 27, followed by their clash against NY Red Bulls on July 31.

FC Barcelona will later host Mexican club Pumas UNAM in the Joan Gamper Trophy at Camp Nou on August 7 in their final pre-season 2022-23 encounter.

Ahead of the new season, the Catalan giants have already completed two acquisitions. Barcelona have signed former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen and ex-AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie on free transfer.

The La Liga side has also made bids for FC Bayern Munich star forward Robert Lewandowski and Leeds United’s winger Raphinha.

Barcelona also aim to complete potential deals for Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and Jules Kounde.

As far as exits are concerned, the club has offloaded Philippe Coutinho, Francisco Trincao, Clement Lenglet (loan) and Rey Manaj.

Barcelona also plans to sell fringe players including Samuel Umtiti, Martin Braithwaite, Miralem Pjanic and Riqui Puig before the start of the 2022-23 season.
