Right! That ends the first game. The second one has been pushed back a little bit because of the rain delay in the first. The Warriors-Zouks game will now begin at 2.45 pm local (1845 GMT). Hop on to that matchcentre.
Victorious Trinbago Knight Riders skipper, Kieron Pollard, enjoys the win particularly because it was a bit of a challenge. Not getting off to a good start, then losing their way in the middle and on both occasions, fighting it out. Stresses the plan was always to bat deep. Boundaries may not come but use the dimensions of the ground to rotate the strike.
Barbados Tridents captain, Jason Holder, feels that the execution of the plans were poor with the ball in the death overs. Credits Kieron Pollard for playing the way he did. On finding his best XI, Holder says that they have just played 3 games and need to look into the depth of their squad. Hopes to come back stronger on Tuesday.
COLIN MUNRO HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. On the difference between Saturday and Sunday on the same pitch, Munro too is puzzled but says that they just looked at batting as per the bowling. Adds that the plan was not to throw your wicket away if you get a start and is disappointed for letting the momentum slip away. Calls Kieron Pollard a freak for even sending mishits over the fence. Calls him an outstanding leader.
Here comes the presentation...
The spinners were excellent for TKR. For Tridents, their quartet had combined figures of 9-0-75-1. For the Knight Riders, the trio of Pierre, Narine and Fawad had combined figures of 10-0-50-3!
Munro scored a half century for the Knight Riders while Charles was at it for the Tridents. Once Munro got out, TKR did not exactly lose their way but were struggling to score runs. Here, once Charles got out, the momentum shifted. Towards the end, Pollard and Darren Bravo pummeled the Tridents while here, Holder and Nurse entertained, but perhaps an over too late. Only if they had begun a bit earlier, or Charles stayed a bit longer!
End of a good contest. The teams were evenly matched till the 16th over before Kieron Pollard and Darren Bravo made the difference. Nothing really much to separate the two teams otherwise.
Jayden Seales to Jason Holder
A single to end the game. Short and outside off, the skipper heaves this towards deep mid-wicket for a single. TRINBAGO KNIGHT RIDERS WIN BY 19 RUNS!
Raymon Reifer walks in but it will be Jason Holder on strike.
