James Root finishes things off with one big blow! Make it four wins in a row for ENG to cap off the League stage. They have delivered yet another clinical performance. NZ have themselves to blame for this loss. During their batting innings, when they started to gain momentum and gathered 29 runs in two overs, they should have capitalized. But rather than capitalizing, they capitulated. Only 10 runs were scored in the three overs and they ended up with a below-par target. There were moments when they could have dominated in the field but eventually, there was very little on the board for them to defend. That's all from this match, next up - PAK will be facing SA at 1100 IST (0530 GMT). See you soon!

    6 4.1
    Ken Williamson to James Root

    Six played towards Square Leg.

A very good fielding on the first ball resulted in the run out of James Vance. Realizing that it could give an opening to NZ, the ENG batsmen decided to play along the ground. But then came a moment of silly cricket when skipper Ian Morgan forgot to drag his back leg inside the crease and the keeper ran him out. NZ wanted to gain control from there but giving away four runs as overthrows handed the advantage back to ENG. Just 2 needed more now.

    Over: 4.0 | 10 Runs

Chris de Grandhomme to James Root

1 run played towards Mid Wicket.

Chris de Grandhomme to James Root

5 runs played towards Square Leg.

    W 3.4
Chris de Grandhomme to Ian Morgan

OUT That is a good piece of stumping by the keeper. He appeals and the square leg umpire agrees.

    1 3.3
Chris de Grandhomme to Jackson Bairstow

1 run played towards Square Leg.

    2 3.2
Chris de Grandhomme to Jackson Bairstow

    2 runs played towards Cover.

    W 3.1
Chris de Grandhomme to James Vance

OUT The bolwer whips the bails off and appeals. The umpire raises his finger and the batsman is run out.

Smart batting from ENG. After an early hiccup in the first over, they have mixed caution with aggression in their approach. For NZ, it's been more about appealing than anything else. They also wasted their only review in the previous over. 12 needed more off 12 balls.
