Well, it was an easy victory in the end for the Gros Islet Cannon Blasters! They were favourites going into this game and they have proved it with a terrific performance. After opting to bat first, Gros Islet came out all guns blazing. Jard Goodman and Garvin Serieux were the stars with the bat as they raked up 115 in the 10 overs. Now it was the turn of their bowling which did a wonderful job in restricting the Mon Repos Stars. They took some stick in the end but by then the game was done and dusted. Mon Repos Stars, on the other hand, never really looked like winning as their bowling was not upto the mark and gave away far too many freebies. They bowled many extras and that is not helpful. As far as their batting is concerned, they struggled and could not get going at all. By the time, they started to attack, the game was over. So, Gros Islet start things off with a bang and will look to continue the good work in their next game while Mon Repos have a lot of work to do. We enjoyed bringing up this coverage for you. Until next time, cheers.
