West Indies host Australia in five-match T20I series - watch live streaming in India

The West Indies cricket team will take on Australia in a five-match T20I series which will be played at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia, starting on Friday, July 9.

Led by Kieron Pollard, the Caribbean side heads into the T20I series after suffering a 3-2 series defeat at home against South Africa in the shortest format earlier in July.

The hosts will look to put up a better show against a second-string Australian side ahead of the ICC World T20, scheduled to be held in October- November in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Australian cricket team, on the other hand, will miss the services of seven of their big players - Steve Smith, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Jyhe Richardson and Kane Richardson, who all have pulled out of the Caribbean tour owing to bio-bubble fatigue. 

The Aaron Finch-led side had lost their last T20I series 3-2 against New Zealand held in February-March.

Meanwhile, the upcoming T20I series will provide an ideal opportunity for some of the backup Australian players to showcase their talent in order to stake a claim in the World T20 squad.
