The final match of Pakistan Super League 2021 will see Multan Sultans (MUL) taking on 2017 title winners Peshawar Zalmi (PES) at the  Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, June 24.

After finishing second in the league stage, Multan Sultans got the better of table-toppers Islamabad United in the qualifier to reach the summit clash.

Third-placed Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand, had to beat defending champions Karachi Kings and Islamabad in the first and second eliminator respectively to reach the final.

MUL vs PES Dream11 prediction

While Multan Sultans were evidently the more clinical side in the league stage, Peshawar will head into the final as the favourites courtesy their experience in PSL knockouts. PES have reached three PSL finals so far, emerging victorious once and they know exactly how to win when the stakes are high.

Though Multan Sultans have the edge against Peshawar Zalmi in the head-to-head stats, both sides have shared a win apiece in PSL 2021. Multan go into the match on the back of four wins in five matches, whereas Zalmi have three wins in their last five outings.

MUL vs PES best players for PSL 2021 fantasy team

Top tip: Best batsmen

Multan Sultans' Khushdil Shah has been in terrific form of late. It was his 22-ball 42 against Islamabad that propelled the Sultans to the PSL final and fantasy team owners can expect the middle-order batsman to click in the most important match of the season.

Peshawar Zalmi opener Hazratullah Zazai's last five scores read 66, 77, 0, 63 and 0, which clearly indicates the importance of the Afghanistan international to the team. Zazai hit six boundaries and four sixes against Islamabad in the eliminator to give Zalmi the strong start they needed. With the batsman in the form of his life, this would be the perfect time to get him into your fantasy team.

Top tip: Best bowlers

Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani has been a revelation for Multan Sultans this season. While his bowling figures of 3/31 went a long way in stopping Islamabad in the last match, a consistent Blessing has scalped eight wickets in his last five games. He remains the most exciting bowling option for any fantasy team.

With the stakes very high, it is Peshawar captain Wahab Riaz who has stepped up for his team. He has taken seven wickets in the last five matches, with his return of 2/35 crucial in Peshawar's victory in the second eliminator. With 661 fantasy points credited to his name so far, Riaz remains one of the best fantasy picks this PSL season.

Top tip: All-rounder and wicket-keeper

Peshawar’s veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik will be a wise pick for the final match. Apart from tallying 130 runs in his last five PSL matches, Malik has contributed with the ball regularly. While the former Pakistan international hasn't been a consistent wicket-taker, he is economical and has conceded just 30 runs in his last three bowling spells besides also taking a wicket.

Without a doubt, Multan skipper Mohammad Rizwan remains the best wicket-keeping option in this fixture. The prolific batsman opens for Multan, which means he is likely to face more balls than most other batsmen in the team. His fantasy points tally of 814 shows the bonus points which Rizwan gets in every game.
