The Maharaja Trophy T20 2022 is scheduled to be played from August 7 to August 26.
Organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), the prestigious T20 cricket tournament will be held in the memory of former President of KSCA and Maharaja of Mysore - HRH late Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar.
The revamped version of the Karnataka Premier League, the Maharaja Trophy T20 2022 will see six teams playing a total of 34 matches over 20 days.
Bengaluru Blasters, Gulbarga Mystics, Hubli Tigers, Mangalore United, Mysore Warriors and Shivmogga Strikers are the six teams that will compete for the title.
As per the schedule, the first leg of the T20 tournament will comprise 18 matches to be played at Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Ground in Mysore. The second leg consists of 16 matches including the final to be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
India internationals Mayank Agarwal, Manish Pandey, Devdutt Padikkal, Karun Nair and Abhimanyu Mithun will feature in the upcoming T20 tournament.
Meanwhile, Hubli Tigers will lock horns with Mangalore United in the opening match of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2022 at Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Ground in Mysore on Sunday, August 7.
