The India women's cricket team will host England in a three-match T20 international series starting on Wednesday, December 6.

As per the India Women vs England Women T20I 2023 schedule, all three matches will be played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After the opening T20I, the final two games of the three-match series are scheduled to be held on December 9 and 10.

Hosts India have announced their 16-member T20I squad to be led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Star batter Smriti Mandhana will be Harmanpreet’s deputy.

India Women’s T20I squad comprises mostly those who were part of the Asian Games gold-winning team in Hangzhou, which is a nice mix of seniors and juniors.

Apart from Harmanpreet and Smriti, experienced Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar have been included in the Indian squad.

Kanika Ahuja, Shreyanka Patil, Mannat Kashyap and Titas Sadhu are some of the talented youngsters who will feature in the three-match T20I series.

Meanwhile, left-arm spinner Saika Ishaque has received her maiden national call-up after impressing in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

On the other hand, Heather Knight will lead the England women’s cricket team. 

Nat Sciver-Brunt, Danielle Wyatt, Alice Capsey, Amy Jones, Sophie Ecclestone, Danielle Gibson, Sarah Glenn and Lauren Bell are all part of the formidable England squad.

Ahead of the series, the 'A' teams of both sides squared off in a three-match T20I series. England A clinched the series 2-1.

England Women have a dominant head-to-head record against India Women in T20 international cricket, winning 20 of the 27 matches that they have played so far. India Women have registered seven victories.

The last time these two sides met, England Women beat India Women by 11 runs in a group clash in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023.
