The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 started on February 10, with Sri Lanka stunning the hosts South Africa in a thrilling encounter. The ongoing edition features 23 matches, with the final on February 26 at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town.

The 2023 edition includes 10 teams, split into two groups for the league stage. The format is similar to the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup, wherein all five teams in the group played against each other in a round-robin format. The bottom three will be knocked out, while the top two teams advance to the semi-finals.

Group 1 - Australia Women, Sri Lanka Women, South Africa Women, Bangladesh Women and New Zealand Women.

Group 2 - India Women, England Women, Pakistan Women, West Indies Women and Ireland Women.

The two semi-finals will be played on February 23 and 24.

The Australian women’s cricket team is the most successful outfit in the Women’s T20 World Cup, winning five titles. Their latest success was in the 2020 edition, when they beat the Indian cricket team in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
