Tornadoes will lock horns with South Coast Sapphires in the second match of FairBreak Invitational Women’s T20 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, May 5. The match will start at 5:30 PM IST.
Organised by Hong Kong Cricket, the inaugural edition of FairBreak Invitational Women’s T20 is an ICC sanctioned tournament featuring six teams. The tournament was earlier planned to be held in Hong Kong itself but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the organisers to move the competition to UAE.
A total of 90 women cricketers from 36 different countries will take part in the tournament. However, no cricketer from India will feature in the competition as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) didn’t provide No Objection Certificates (NOC) citing the ongoing Senior Women's T20 Trophy.
