Team Mumbai will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Team Rajasthan in match 9 of the Indian T20 League 2022 season at DY Patil Stadium on Saturday, April 2. The match will start at 3:30 PM IST.

The record Indian T20 League champions made a losing start to their new season, going down by four wickets against Delhi in the tournament opener. The team did show promise in their batting prowess, but with the bowling attack lacking sting, the side failed to tick towards the end.

Rajasthan, on the other hand, are coming on the back of a thumping 61-run win over Hyderabad. The Sanju Samson-led side has made a heavy investment in acquiring top talents.

Mumbai vs Rajasthan recent form

Both Mumbai and Rajasthan have endured contrasting results this season, but if we do consider their previous season’s form, Mumbai will hold a slight advantage on Saturday. Those results, however, do not really have any substance since both teams have undergone several changes since the mega auction.

Mumbai vs Rajasthan head-to-head

Mumbai and Rajasthan have played a total of 25 matches in the past with the former winning 13 games and the latter coming out on top on 11 occasions. Interestingly, Mumbai have won each of their last three meetings with Rajasthan, including their two matches in the 2021 season.

Mumbai vs Rajasthan prediction for Indian T20 League 2022

Mumbai have a knack for making late comebacks in the Indian T20 League. Like it’s been in the past, Mumbai are most likely to take their time before they can assert their authority.

Furthermore, since it’s a new-look team altogether, one can expect them to struggle against a star-studded Rajasthan side.

However, Mumbai has history on its side, winning the Indian T20 League title five times. It’s little wonder that the odds favour them.
