India Legends (IN-L) will lock horns with Sri Lanka Legends (SL-L) in the Road Safety T20 World Series 2022 final at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Saturday, October 1. The match starts at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

Reigning champions India Legends beat Australia Legends by five wickets in their semi-final clash to storm into the Road Safety T20 World Series final for the second consecutive edition.

Having registered two wins while three matches were abandoned, the Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends finished third in the league phase standings with 14 points from five games.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka Legends overcame West Indies Legends by 14 runs in the other semi-final to set-up a repeat of the 2021 final.

Under the leadership of Tillakaratne Dilshan, Sri Lanka Legends have been the most dominant team in the ongoing edition of the T20 tournament, finishing at the top of the standings with 18 points from five matches. Dilshan’s men have won four of their five matches this season while the other match was washed out due to rain.

India Legends defeated Sri Lanka Legends by 14 runs in the 2021 final to clinch the inaugural edition of the Road Safety T20 World Series in March.

Both the sides, once again, dominated other teams this season to reach the final.

Going by recent form, Sri Lanka have looked the team to beat this edition and will start as slight favourites against India on Saturday.

As far as all-rounders are concerned, picking in-form Sri Lanka Legends captain Tillakaratne Dilshan in any fantasy team is a no-brainer. Dilshan has amassed a staggering 435 fantasy points - the most by any player involved in the 2022 final. 

For the wicket-keeper spot, India Legends’ Naman Ojha will be the top fantasy recommendation over Upul Tharanga of Sri Lanka Legends. Besides fulfilling his wicket-keeping responsibilities, Ojha has been the fourth highest run-scorer in the tournament, amassing 158 runs in five matches at an average of 39.50 and a strike rate of 128.45. Ojha has accumulated 301 fantasy points and could be a game-changer to any fantasy team for 8.5 credits.
