The David Warner-led side will look to secure their first win of the season after Hyderabad suffered defeat against Kolkata at the same venue on Sunday.
Hyderabad’s strong bowling attack had an off day as they conceded 187 runs in their 20 overs. Their pacers went for plenty against Kolkata as they gave away 117 runs from 11 overs, claiming just two wickets.
In the batting department, both Hyderabad openers David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha failed to give a good start in their opening encounter. The franchise might consider reuniting David Warner and Jonny Bairstow at the top of the order. Bairstow was one of the positives for Hyderabad as he scored an impressive fifty at the middle-order.
Meanwhile, Kane Williamson will not play against Bangalore as coach Trevor Bayliss had said the New Zealand batsman would require more time to regain full match fitness.
On the other hand, Bangalore will be high on confidence after the Virat Kohli-led team defeated defending champions Mumbai in the season opener.
Bangalore have further received a massive boost as their young opener Devdutt Padikkal is now ready to play his part in the high-profile league after his recovery from COVID-19.
Australia leg-spinner Adam Zampa will also be available for selection for this match and he may replace Dan Christian
