Legendary West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle holds the record for the most centuries in T20 cricket.

Having made his T20 debut in 2005, Chris Gayle has slammed a record 22 hundreds in cricket’s shortest format.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam has the second most-centuries in T20 cricket. The swashbuckling right-handed batter has already smashed 11 tons in T20 format. 

Former India cricket team captain Virat Kohli features third on the list for the most centuries in T20 cricket. He has registered nine T20 hundreds so far.

The likes of David Warner, Aaron Finch and Michael Klinger have the third-most centuries in T20 cricket. All three cricketers have registered eight centuries each in cricket’s shortest format. Know the cricketers with the most centuries in T20 cricket.

Chris Gayle | 22 T20 centuries

Nicknamed “The Universe Boss”, Chris Gayle is undoubtedly one of the greatest T20 batters of all-time. The flamboyant left-handed batter also owns the record for the most runs in T20 cricket. Gayle has amassed 14,562 runs in 463 matches at an average of 36.22 and a strike rate of 144.75. He has hammered 22 centuries and 88 fifties in T20 cricket.

Babar Azam | 11 T20 centuries

Pakistan talisman Babar Azam has joined Chris Gayle as the only player to smash at least 11 hundreds in T20 cricket. Since making his T20 debut in 2012, Azam has already accumulated 10,495 runs in 290 matches at an average of 44.28 and a strike rate of 129.32. He has also slammed 87 half-centuries in cricket’s shortest format.

Virat Kohli | 9 T20 centuries

One of the greatest white-ball cricketers of all-time, India’s Virat Kohli features third on the list. The former Indian cricket team captain has registered nine T20 hundreds in his illustrious career so far. Between 2007 and 2024, Kohli has scored 12,197 T20 runs in 380 at an average of 41.48 and a strike rate of 133.54. He has 93 T20 fifties to his name.

David Warner | 8 T20 centuries

Australia’s David Warner has been one of the most consistent T20 batters in world cricket. The stylish left-hander has slammed eight T20 hundreds in his career so far. Having made his T20 debut in 2007, Warner has scored 12,213 runs in 374 matches at an average of 37.12 and a strike rate of 140.21. He has hit 102 half-centuries in T20 cricket. 

Aaron Finch | 8 T20 centuries 

Along with Kohli and Warner, former Australia captain Aaron Finch has also recorded eight hundreds in T20 cricket. Between 2007 and 2024, Finch accumulated 11,458 runs in 387 matches at an average of 33.60 and a strike rate of 138.16. He also slammed 77 T20 fifties in the 20-over format.
