One of the most iconic cricket stadiums in UAE, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is amongst the multiple venues set to stage the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 scheduled in October this year

Established in 2009, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has a seating capacity of over 25,000 spectators. Pakistan and Australia played the first-ever T20 international at the venue on May 7, 2009. 

The venue was frequently used as the adopted home ground of the Pakistan cricket team alongside Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi while teams refused to tour Pakistan. It was also one of the venues for the rescheduled Indian T20 League 2021 

The ground is surrounded by 350 floodlights on the circumference of the roof also named the ‘Ring of Fire’. 

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium is set to stage 13 matches of the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2021.
