The Indian cricket team will begin their ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on October 24.

This will be the first meeting between India and Pakistan since the two heavyweights clashed at the 50-over World Cup in England in 2019.

As has been the norm in the last decade, the two sides have locked horns only in world events like the World Cups and Champions Trophy due to political tensions that have put bilateral meetings on hold.

Placed in Group 2, India’s second match of the tournament will see them take on New Zealand on October 31, followed by a clash against the Afghanistan cricket team in Abu Dhabi on November 3.

The remaining two Super 12 matches of the inaugural World T20 champions will be against the winner of Group B from Round 1 on November 5 and the second-placed team of Group A on November 8.

Both these matches are scheduled to be held in Dubai, meaning four of India’s five Super 12 matches will be held at the Dubai International Stadium.
