Bangalore sealed their playoffs spot with an emphatic 6-run win over Punjab in match 48 of the Indian T20 League at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Chasing 165, Punjab lost wickets at regular intervals after KL Rahul 39 (35) and Mayank Agarwal 57 (42) put on a 91-run opening stand.

For Bangalore, Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/29 in his quota of four overs.

With 16 points, Bangalore have now moved to the third spot in the standings.
