Australia’s Belinda Clark holds the record for the highest individual score in Women’s World Cup. The 1997 World Cup-winning captain hit an unbeaten 229 runs off just 155 balls against Denmark women in the 18th match of the 1997 ICC Women’s World Cup.

Clark’s whirlwind knock included 22 boundaries, and it set the tone for the record six-time winners to post 412/3 in 50 overs; the highest team total in Women’s World Cup.

Sri Lankan all-rounder Chamari Athapaththu is second on the list of highest individual score in the Women’s World Cup. The 32-year-old scored an unbeaten 143-ball 178 to guide Sri Lankan to 257/9 against Australia in their 2017 Women’s Cup encounter. However, Sri Lanka eventually lost the tie by eight wickets.

Third on our list is Charlotte Edwards of the England women’s cricket team. The retired English cricketer hit 173 not out against Ireland women in the 1997 edition.

The Indian women cricket team’s Harmanpreet Kaur is the fourth player to hit the highest individual score in the Women’s World Cup. The 2017 Arjuna award winner slammed an unbeaten 115-ball 171 against Australia women in the semi-final of the 2017 Women’s World Cup, and guided India to the final against eventual champions England.

Stafanie Taylor completes the list of players with the highest individual score in the Women’s World Cup. Opening for West Indies women against Sri Lanka women in their 2013 Women’s Cup meeting, Taylor hit 171 runs off 135 balls that included 18 boundaries and two sixes. Taylor was voted as the Player of the Match for her blitzkrieg knock and a top bowling effort of 1/10.
