Abu Dhabi T10 League Final Adda notes: Delhi Bulls and Northern Warriors
The grand finale of the Abu Dhabi T10 league 2021 will be played between Delhi Bulls and Northern Warriors at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, February 6. Both the finalists reached the summit clash by registering comprehensive victories in their respective penultimate clashes on Friday.
While Dwayne Bravo led the Delhi Bulls to a strong five-wicket win over the Warriors in the Qualifier 1 to reach the final, Nicholas Pooran’s Northern Warriors bounced back in style with a seven-wicket win over Chris Gayle’s Team Abu Dhabi in the Eliminator to set up a final.
Quite interestingly though, despite the Bulls beating Warriors quite convincingly in the Qualifier 1 of the Abu Dhabi T10 League knockout phase, the Warriors hold the better chance of winning the title on Saturday.
The two sides have met each other thrice in the tournament so far, with the Bulls winning once and the Warriors winning twice.
|Head to Head|
|Delhi Bulls||Metrics||Northern Warriors|
Delhi Bulls have batted first only twice in the Abu Dhabi T10 League and their average score has been 104 runs, while the Warriors average a score of 133 runs in the last five matches that they have batted first.
Hence, the Bulls wouldn't want the Warriors to bat first and given their stunning winning percentage at the coin toss, Bravo might get to decide that in the final as well. Delhi Bulls have won all of their last five tosses, while the Warriors have won just thrice in the same number of tosses.
What gives the Northern Warriors the edge is their prolific run-scoring form in the tournament. Pooran's side has been averaging a whopping 9 boundaries and 7.8 sixes in their last five matches, while the Bulls average 7.6 boundaries and 7 sixes in the same number of matches.
Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium has seen an average of 17.2 boundaries and 10 sixes in the last five matches played there.
