New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, who turned 29 on Thursday, had a special present ready for him from the Sri Lankan fans on his birthday.

Up on the field during New Zealand’s practice match against Sri Lanka Board President’s XI at the Air Force Ground ahead of their Tests, the Kiwis' captain was approached by a group of fans who were waiting for him with a birthday cake just outside the boundary rope.

The incident took place during drinks break, when the 29-year-old decided to run towards the rope to celebrate his special day with his special fans. Taking a bite out of the cake, the skipper was fed by a fan, and in turn, the fan received the same outcome.

Williamson was then seen scoring some high-fives while also posed for the pictures before returning back to the field to join his teammates.

New Zealand, who reached the final of the recently concluded World Cup in England, will play two Test matches, beginning from August 14 before playing three T20Is, which will begin from September 1. Meanwhile, their World Cup performance has earned them a lot of accolades from around the world, and this act from the Sri Lankan fans is the perfect specimen of that.
