Pro Kabaddi Season 9 (PKL 9) finished with a nail-biting finale between Jaipur Pink Panthers and Puneri Paltan, with the Panthers edging out the Paltan 33-29 at the Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru. 

Jaipur Pink Panthers won their second PKL title, having won the inaugural edition of the tournament as well. They became the second team after Patna Pirates to win multiple titles.

Best Raider of the Season: Bharat Hooda, Bengaluru Bulls (279 raid points)

Bharat Hooda finished as the second best raider of the tournament, completing 222 successful raids, taking home 279 points at an average of 12.13 points per match. One of his best performances came against Dabang Delhi in the Eliminator clash, scoring 15 raid points. 

Hooda also collected 27 do-or-die raid points, the most for his team in PKL Season 9

Best Defender of the Season: Ankush Rathee, Jaipur Pink Panthers (89 tackle points)

Ankush Rathee was a vital cog in Jaipur Pink Panthers’ side this season, recording 89 tackle points. Rathee recorded the most High 5s in the ninth edition, establishing himself as the most dominant defender. He produced great performances in the knockout stages, scoring a “High 5” in the semi-final and three points in the final. 

Best Young Player of the Season: Narender Hoshiyar, Tamil Thalaivas (243 raid points)

Narender Hoshiyar emerged as the best young player this season with 243 points for the Tamil Thalaivas. The left raider led the Thalaivas to its first-ever playoffs in the league’s history. Replacing senior player Pawan Sehrawat as their chief raider, Hoshiyar finished with the fourth highest raid points this edition.

Most Valuable Player of the Season: Arjun Deshwal, Jaipur Pink Panthers (296 raid points)

Arjun Deshwal nearly registered 300 raid points and was named the Most Valuable Player of PKL Season 9. He finished with the most raid points this edition, bagging six points in the final. This tally includes an impressive 17 Super 10s, averaging 12.33 points per match.
