The second season of the Rajasthan Kabaddi League (RKL) is set to start from mid-June 2022 as per the latest update on the league’s official website.

The tournament will span over the course of two weeks with over 32 matches set to be played involving eight teams. DD Sports network will telecast all the matches from Season 2 of the Rajasthan Kabaddi League.

Speaking about the new season, Shubham Choudhary, founder and CEO of RKL said, "After about 2 years of in-depth research, we analyzed that there are numerous talented kabaddi players who have the skills and the zeal to play but unfortunately do not have a credible platform to do so.”

“This gave birth to Rajasthan Kabaddi League and in the very first season of the tournament, we had 8 teams competing against each other and the response was overwhelming. This gave us a boost to go ahead with Season 2 and we promise that this will be grand in every sense," he added.

The tournament which hosted the inaugural season back in 2019 was postponed the following years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Choudhary seemed confident of RKL growing bigger with the participation of some prominent players this year.

"We are excited to announce Season 2 after a gap of three years due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus. This season will be held in the capital city of Jaipur and we promise to our audience, spread across India, that they will get to witness some of the big names in the field of kabaddi playing this season,” he concluded

Shekhawati Kings were the winners of the inaugural edition of the Rajasthan Kabaddi League in 2019.
