Pro Kabaddi, one of the world’s grandest kabaddi leagues, started in Bengaluru on October 7, 2022. The PKL will be played over three months as 12 teams will face off for the Season 9 title.

Legends like PKL’s top defender Fazel Atrachali, Maninder Singh and Pardeep Narwal, the top raider in PKL history, took the mat along with talented youngsters like Arjun Deshwal and Naveen Kumar. The Pro Kabaddi Season 9 is expected to produce some riveting encounters.

A total of 137 matches are scheduled in the Pro Kabaddi Season 9. The group stage matches will take place in Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Mumbai will host the two eliminators, two semi-finals and the final.

How does the PKL points table work?

Each Pro Kabaddi team gets awarded five points for a win, three points for a tie and one point for a margin of defeat with seven or fewer points. If the loss margin is more than seven, no points are awarded to the losing team.

While the top six teams make the playoffs, the top two advance to the semi-finals. The teams ranked third to sixth face off in the eliminator, the winners of which reach the semi-finals. The semi-final winners will play in the Pro Kabaddi Season 9 final on December 17, 2022.
