The highly-anticipated Pro Kabaddi 2021 season is likely to be held in Bengaluru, according to Sportskeeda.

All PKL matches in Bengaluru look set to be played at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. Ahmedabad will serve as a back-up option in case the COVID-19 situation worsens in Bengaluru.

The 12 teams will be put up within a secure bio-bubble in a hotel with all the COVID-19 protocols in place. All preparations will be done by the organiser and promoter of the league, Mashal Sports.

Training camps will be next on the agenda for the teams, once the venue is finalised.

Pro Kabaddi is played in a multi-city format, with all the 12 teams travelling to different cities for each week-long leg. All teams, thus, enjoy one home-leg advantage during the league stages of the three-month long tournament.

However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming PKL season will be played in a single city.

The development comes after the conclusion of the three-day auction on August 31 in Mumbai.

Though the exact dates for the league have not been announced, Pro Kabaddi Season 8 is likely to commence in December.

Bengal Warriors won the title in Season 7, which was played in 2019.
