The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced the schedule for the 75th edition of Santosh Trophy 2021-2022 on Monday, October 25. The Santosh Trophy will start on November 21 with teams divided into Group A and Group B across five zones - North Zone, West Zone, South Zone, East Zone and North-East Zone. 

Chandigarh and New Delhi will host all the North Zone matches, while West Zone will play their matches at Bhavnagar and Jaipur. Meanwhile, East Zone games will be held at Kalyani and Bhubaneswar while North-East Zone will play their matches in Imphal and Shillong. Bengaluru will host the South Zone matches of the Santosh Trophy. 

The top team from each group will progress to the Final Round of Santosh Trophy 2021 which is expected to be played in Kerala later this year. 

Jharkhand are the defending champions after winning the 2018-19 edition of the tournament. West Bengal are the most successful team in the Santosh Trophy having won the title 32 times.
