The Portugal national football team will take on Slovakia in the UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto, Portugal. The Group J POR vs SVK match will start at 12:15 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) on Saturday, October 14.

Portugal, coached by Roberto Martinez, are on a six-match unbeaten run and are placed top of Group J with 18 points.

The Cristiano Ronaldo-led side heads into this UEFA Euro 2024 tie after a massive 9-0 home win over Luxembourg in September.

Earlier, the 2016 Euro champions registered victories over Liechtenstein (4-0), Luxembourg (6-0), Bosnia and Herzegovina (3-0), Iceland (1-0) and Slovakia (1-0).

A win for Portugal on Saturday will seal their spot in next year’s continental showpiece in Germany.

Slovakia, meanwhile, are placed second in Group J with 13 points from six matches. Coached by Francesco Calzona, Slovakia are battling Luxembourg for the second spot in group J.

The last time Slovakia faced Portugal, the Falcons suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat at home. However, Slovakia will head into Matchday 7 on the back of a 3-0 win over Liechtenstein in September.

For Portugal, Cristiano Ronald and Bruno Fernandes are the top scorers with five and four goals, respectively. Meanwhile, midfielder Robert Mak, with two goals, tops the goalscoring charts for Slovakia in the qualifiers.
