Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Mumbai City FC will host Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal SFC in their fourth Group D fixture of the AFC Champions League 2023-24 at the D Y Patil Sports Stadium in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra on Monday, November 6.
The Mumbai City vs Al-Hilal ACL 2023-24 match will kick off at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). Live streaming and telecast of AFC Champions League 2023-24 will be available in India.
Under head coach Des Buckingham, Mumbai City will look to bounce back after succumbing to a 0-6 hammering against Al-Hilal in their previous Group D match at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.
Star forward Aleksandar Mitrovic netted an impressive hat-trick while Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Mohammed Al-Burayk and Abdulelah Al-Malki scored a goal each to power Al-Hilal to a dominant victory.
With the demoralising loss, Mumbai City's losing streak extended to three games in the ongoing AFC Champions League.
The Islanders earlier started their ACL 2023-24 campaign with a 0-2 defeat to Iranian side Nassaji Mazandaran. They later went down to Uzbekistan’s PFC Navbahor Namangan 0-3 in their second Group D encounter.
With no points to show after three games, Mumbai City FC are currently languishing at the bottom of the Group D standings.
On the other hand, Al-Hilal are placed at the top of the standings with seven points from three matches.
Led by manager Jorge Jesus, Al-Hilal were earlier held to a 1-1 draw by Navbahor in their opening fixture, before they staged a strong comeback to beat Nassaji Mazandaran 3-0.
As per the AFC Champions League format, only the group winners and three best runners-up in the group stage from each region will advance to the round of 16.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal will once again miss the services of their talisman Neymar, who has undergone surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscus in his left knee.
The injury took place during Brazil’s FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier clash against Uruguay last month.
