The Saudi Pro League 2023-24 began on August 11, 2023 and will conclude on May 27, 2024.

Organised by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), the SPL 2023-24 will see as many as 18 teams compete in a total of 306 matches over a span of nine months.

Al-Ittihad are the reigning champions of the Saudi Pro League, having pipped Al-Nassr FC by five points to clinch their ninth league title last season.

The likes of Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr FC, Al-Ahli Saudi FC and Al-Taawoun FC are the other title contenders of the ongoing Saudi Pro League. Al-Ahli, Al-Hazem, Al-Okhdood, and Al-Riyadh are the four promoted clubs. 

Several top footballers including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez, Jordan Henderson, Roberto Firmino, Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and Sadio Mane are playing in the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has been the standout player in the SPL so far.

Ronaldo is the leading goalscorer in the Saudi Pro League 2023-24 with 19 goals in 17 matches. 

Apart from his goalscoring, Ronaldo also has the most assists in Saudi Pro League 2023-24. The Portuguese star has provided nine assists. 

Allan Saint-Maximin, Alvaro Medrán and Mourad Batna are some of the other leading playmakers in the league.

Meanwhile, Former Al Taawoun FC footballer Kaku holds the record for the most assists in a single Saudi Professional League season. He provided 15 in the 2022-23 season.
