Indian Super League (ISL) champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant will host fellow ISL outfit Odisha FC in a crucial Group D match in AFC Cup 2023-24 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on Monday, November 27.
The Mohun Bagan vs Odisha AFC Cup 2023-24 match will kick off at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
Under head coach Juan Ferrando, Mohun Bagan will aim to bounce back after going down 1-2 to Bangladesh’s Bashundhara Kings at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in their previous AFC Cup 2023-24 game.
While Liston Colaco gave the Mariners an early lead in the 17th minute, Miguel Figueira and Robinho netted a goal each to help Bashundhara Kings bag three vital points from the clash.

On the other hand, Odisha FC will head into the fixture high on confidence after beating Maldives’ Maziya Sports and Recreation Club 3-2 away from home in their last AFC 2023-24 group encounter.
Interestingly, Odisha conceded two goals in the first half at the Maldives National Football Stadium before Mourtada Fall, Diego Maurício and Roy Krishna scored in the second half to guide the Juggernauts to a sensational victory.
With the impressive win, Odisha have jumped to third in the Group D standings with six points from four games. Sergio Lobera’s men earlier hammered Maziya 6-1 in the reverse fixture.
Both Mohun Bagan and Odisha will look to bag all three points from the upcoming fixture as only the table topper will advance to the AFC Cup inter-zone play-off semi-finals as per the format.

That said, it’s worth mentioning that Mohun Bagan will have a slight edge in this game having never lost to Odisha FC in the eight encounters between the teams. The Mariners have beaten Odisha five times, while the remaining three games ended in draws.
Furthermore, Mohun Bagan thrashed Odisha FC 4-0 in their previous meeting in the ongoing AFC Cup 2023-24 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar earlier in September.
