Indian Super League (ISL) champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant will host Bangladesh’s Bashundhara Kings in their third Group D match of AFC Cup 2023-24 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Tuesday, October 24. The Mohun Bagan vs Bashundhara Kings AFC Cup 2023-24 match will kick off at 9:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
Under head coach Juan Ferrando, Mohun Bagan head into the clash high on confidence after winning both their group matches so far.
The Mariners started their AFC Cup 2023-24 campaign with a dominating 4-0 win over ISL outfit Odisha FC at the Kalinga Stadium. They later beat Maldives’ Maziya Sports and Recreation Club 2-1 in their second group match.
With six points from two matches, Mohun Bagan are currently placed at the top of the AFC 2023-24 Group D standings.
On the other hand, Bashundhara Kings will aim to continue their winning run after defeating Odisha FC 3-2 in their previous AFC Cup fixture.
Earlier, the reigning Bangladesh Premier League champions began their AFC Cup 2023-24 campaign with a 1-3 loss against Maziya in their opening group fixture at the Maldives National Football Stadium in September.
Having secured one victory and one defeat, Bashundhara Kings are placed third in the standings with three points from two games.
All eyes will be on Mohun Bagan’s star forward Jason Cummings, who has already scored four goals in two matches.
