Tajik football club FC Istiklol will host Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr FC in their final Group E fixture of the AFC Champions League 2023-24 at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on Tuesday, December 5.
The Istiklol vs Al-Nassr ACL 2023-24 match will kick off at 9:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). Live streaming and telecast of AFC Champions League 2023-24 will be available in India.
Led by manager Igor Cherevchenko, Istiklol have been winless in the ongoing ACL. The Tajik outfit has registered two draws and suffered three losses in the five group matches that they have played so far.
Istiklol will head into the home game after going down 0-2 to Qatari football club Al-Duhail SC in their previous group game in the ACL 2023-24.
With two points from five games, Istiklol are languishing at the bottom of the Group E standings.
On the other hand, Al-Nassr have been unbeaten in the competition so far. Luís Castro’s men have secured four wins and one draw in the five ACL matches this season.
Having accumulated 13 points from five games, Al-Nassr have already secured their place in the ACL 2023-24 knockout round and are also guaranteed to finish at the top of the Group E points table.
However, Al-Nassr will look to return to winning ways after being held to a goalless draw by Iranian side Persepolis FC in their last ACL outing.
Meanwhile, captain Cristiano Ronaldo is all set to miss Al-Nassr's AFC Champions League clash against Istiklol.
Head coach Luis Castro has decided to rest Ronaldo for their final continental outing. The Portuguese footballer has been in sensational form, having scored 24 goals in 26 appearances this season.

Al-Nassr defeated Istiklol 3-1 in their only meeting in the ongoing AFC Champions League earlier in October.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 66th minute before Talisca netted a brace to power Al-Nassr to a comprehensive victory at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
