It’s all to play for both FC Goa and Mumbai City FC in the second leg of the Indian Super League 2020-21 semi-final, to be played at GMC Stadium in Bambolim on Monday, March 8.

FC Goa’s winning run stretched to 14 games when they played out an exciting 2-2 draw in the first leg against the Islanders. With the away goal rule not in place this season, the second-leg would make an interesting watch.

This will be the fourth meeting between FC Goa and Mumbai City FC this season. They first crossed paths during the league stage, with Mumbai clinching a 95th-minute winner through Adam Le Fondre. Their second and third meeting ended in a 3-3 and 2-2 draw, respectively.

Mumbai will welcome the return of Amey Ranawade, who missed the first leg due to suspension. The fitness of Rowlin Borges and Mohamad Rakip, however, remains a worry. FC Goa, on the other hand, will be without Princeton Rebello and Mohamed Ali.

Princeton suffered a dislocated toe following a two-footed challenge from MCFC’s Mourtada Fall in the second minute of the second-half stoppage time in the first leg. Still, Mourtada escaped with a yellow card, much to the dismay of the FC Goa camp. Brendon Fernandes and Seriton Fernandes, meanwhile, remain two injury worries.
