The latest season of Fantasy Premier League began on a riveting note, with 34 goals being scored and over 5000 FPL managers registering a three-digit score from Gameweek 1.

The Gameweek 2 schedule is headlined by the London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, August 22. The other important fixtures to watch out for this weekend are Wolves versus Tottenham Hotspur as new Spurs coach Nuno Espirito Santo makes an emotional return to the Molineux Stadium as an opposition manager.

Manchester United travel to Southampton hoping to equal the record of longest unbeaten away runs in English football, currently held by Arsenal (27 in 2003-04).

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 2 tips to make your team

Best attacker: Romelu Lukaku

After rejoining the club, Romelu Lukaku is set to make his first appearance in his second stint for Chelsea against Arsenal on Sunday. The second-most transferred-in striker this week, the 28-year-old Belgian - with an FPL price of £11.5m - will look to improve his record of three goals and five assists against the Gunners.

Best defender: Konstantinos Tsimikas

Konstantinos Tsimikas will continue to play at left-back for Liverpool since first-choice pick Andy Robertson is nursing an ankle injury. The Greek international picked up a clean sheet on his first Premier League start and comes at a price of £4.1m.

Budget player: Ethan Pinnock

Ethan Pinnock was one of the top three performers in Brentford’s first victory in the English top-flight since May 1947. The Jamaican central defender returned with 11 points following an assist, a clean sheet and bonus points. Priced at £4.2m, Pinnock is the fourth-most bought defender in the FPL Gameweek 2.
