Euro 2024 squad list: Know who will take the field for each team

The UEFA Euro 2024 is all set to get underway on Friday, June 14 in Germany.

The 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship will see as many as 24 men's national teams compete for the quadrennial international football championship.

Germany will host the European Championship for the third time and the second time in reunified Germany. In 1988, West Germany staged the tournament while four matches of the multi-national Euro 2020 were hosted in Munich.

As per the Euro 2024 format, these participating teams have been divided into six groups of four teams each.

Group A has hosts Germany, Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland. The likes of Spain, Croatia, Italy and Albania are placed in Group B.

Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia and England are clubbed in Group C.

Group D features Poland, Netherlands, Austria and France.

Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine are included in Group E while Turkey, Georgia, Portugal and Czech Republic are in Group F.

Each team will play the other three sides in their group once in a single round-robin format.

The top two teams from each group and the best four third-placed teams will advance to the round of 16.

The knockout stage also comprises quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.

The UEFA Euro 2024 will be played across 10 venues in Germany till July 14.

Italy are the defending champions of the UEFA European Football Championship after beating England in the final of the previous edition in 2021.

Meanwhile, Germany and Spain are the most successful teams in the tournament’s history with three titles each.

The likes of Germany, France and Netherlands have already announced their preliminary squads ahead of the UEFA European Football Championship 2024.

The maximum squad size of the Euro 2024 teams was increased from the original quota of 23 to 26 players. Each team must provide the squad list by the deadline of June 7. Get the Euro 2024 squad list.
