East Bengal will square off against Jamshedpur FC in the first semi-final of the Kalinga Super Cup 2024 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Wednesday, January 24.

Under manager Carles Cuadrat, East Bengal will head into the semi-final high on confidence after beating arch-rivals Mohun Bagan 3-1 in their final group match on Friday.
Captain Cleiton Silva netted a brace while Nandhakumar Sekar scored one goal to help East Bengal register a comprehensive victory in the decisive group game.
Earlier, the Red and Gold Brigade started their campaign with a 3-2 win over Hyderabad FC 3-2 and later defeated Sreenidi Deccan 2-1 in their second game.
With nine points from three games, East Bengal finished at the top of the Group A standings to qualify for the semi-finals.
East Bengal earlier reached the final of the inaugural edition of the Super Cup in 2018. They went down 1-4 to Bengaluru FC at the Kalinga Stadium.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur FC also booked their place in the semi-final after winning all their three matches in Group B.
Led by their newly-appointed head coach Khalid Jamil, Jamshedpur began their Kalinga Super Cup 2024 with a 2-1 win over NorthEast United FC.
The Red Miners later overcame Kerala Blasters 3-2 and followed it up with another impressive 2-0 victory over Shillong Lajong.
With three wins in three matches, Jamshedpur topped Group B standings with nine points to advance to the last four.

East Bengal and Jamshedpur FC have faced each other on seven occasions, winning two games apiece. As many as three matches have ended in draws.
The last time these two sides met, East Bengal and Jamshedpur FC played a goalless draw in an Indian Super League clash at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata in September.
