Reigning La Liga champions FC Barcelona will host Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur in the Joan Gamper Trophy 2023 at their temporary home, the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, on Tuesday, August 8. The Barcelona vs Tottenham Joan Gamper Trophy 2023 match will start at 11:30 PM IST.
The Joan Gamper Trophy is an annual exhibition match hosted by Barcelona at the Camp Nou ahead of the new La Liga season and is named after its founding member, player and former president - Joan Gamper.
With Camp Nou closed due to renovation work, Barcelona will be playing their games at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium until November 2024.
Under manager Xavi Hernandez, Barcelona will head into the Joan Gamper Trophy after beating Serie A giants AC Milan 1-0 in their final Soccer Champions Tour 2023 match at the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, United States.
Earlier, Barcelona defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid 3-0 in the pre-season El Clasico at the AT&T Stadium in Texas.

Under newly-appointed head coach Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham earlier thrashed Singaporean side Lion City Sailors 5-1 in Singapore.
Tottenham, however, went down to West Ham 2-3 in a pulsating pre-season friendly in Ange Postecoglou’s debut as Spurs head coach.
Barcelona thrashed Mexican club Pumas UNAM 6-0 in the previous edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy at the Camp Nou last year. They have won the Joan Gamper Trophy on 45 occasions so far and will start as favourites against Tottenham on Tuesday.
