ATK Mohun Bagan will look to close the gap between them and league leaders Mumbai City FC when they take on a high-flying Bengaluru FC in their seventh Indian Super League 2020-21 game on Monday, December 21, at Goa's Fatorda Stadium.

ATKMB made a stunning start to their new ISL season, winning four out of their six games so far. However, a game against Bengaluru FC, who are the only ISL team yet to lose a game this season, will be a stern challenge for Antonio Lopez Habas’ side.

ATK Mohun Bagan vs Bengaluru FC head to head record is subtly dominated by the latter, who have registered a whopping five wins in eight games, including their semi-final second leg win in the ISL 2019-20 season. The Blues have, in fact, scored 10 goals in these eight games, and have conceded seven.

However, ATK Mohun Bagan’s rock-solid defence this season is seemingly up for the task. The Kolkata team has conceded a mere three goals so far (joint-lowest) and are the only side yet to concede a goal from open play. Their over-reliance on Roy Krishna in the offensive front, however, will be a concern as the Fiji international has scored five of his side’s seven goals this season.

Furthermore, no one other than Krishna and Manvir Singh has been on the scoresheet for Habas’ team so far. Even their star man from last season, David Williams has struggled for goals.

For Bengaluru FC, their overseas strikers have come under the scanner since the past two ISL season. Since Miku’s departure, none of their foreign strikers have crossed the five-goal mark in the competition.

In Cleiton Silva though, the team carries a potent threat as the 33-year-old has bagged three goals in as many attempted shots on target so far. Running behind the defenders, the Brazilian is set to give ATKMB’s backline a run for their money.
