Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr will square off against Iraqi outfit Al-Shorta in the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 semi-final at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Abha, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, August 9. Led by talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr defeated defending champions Raja Club Athletic to qualify for the Arab Club Champions Cup semi-final for the first time since 1995.
Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Sultan Al-Ghannam and Seko Fofana helped Al-Nassr beat Moroccan top-division side Raja CA 3-1 in the quarter-final on Sunday.
Earlier, Al-Nassr had finished second in the Group C standings with five points from three matches to advance to the knockout stage.
On the other hand, Al-Shorta qualified for the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 semi-final after defeating Qatari side Al Sadd 4-2 in their quarter-final clash.
Al-Shorta booked their place in the quarter-final after finishing second in the Group A standings with four points from three matches.
Organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA), the Arab Club Champions Cup is an annual regional club football competition that features a total of 37 teams from the Asian Football Confederation and the Confederation of African Football.
Iraqi side Al-Rasheed Sports Club and Tunisia football club Espérance Sportive de Tunis are the most successful teams in the Arab Club Champions Cup with three titles each.
