Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr will square off against arch-rivals Al-Hilal in the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 final at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on August 12. The Al-Nassr vs Al-Hilal Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 final will start at 11:30 PM IST.
Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo scored a penalty in the 75th minute against Iraqi outfit Al-Shorta in the semi-final to guide his side to their maiden Arab Club Champions Cup final.
Earlier, Al-Nassr defeated Moroccan top-division side Raja CA 3-1 in the quarter-final courtesy goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Sultan Al-Ghannam and Seko Fofana. They earlier finished second in the Group C standings with five points from three matches to advance to the knockout stage.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the leading goal-scorer in the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023, having netted four goals in five matches. The Portuguese talisman is also aiming to win his first trophy since claiming the Coppa Italia 2020-21 with his former club Juventus.
On the other hand, Al-Hilal will look to clinch their third Arab Club Champions Cup, having won it previously in 1994 and 1995.
Under manager Jorge Jesus, Al-Hilal beat Saudi Arabian rivals Al-Shabab FC 3-1 in their Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 semi-final clash on Wednesday.
Mohamed Kano, Malcolm and Abdullah Al-Hamdan scored for Al Hilal, while Gustavo Cuéllar netted the solitary goal for Al-Shabab.
Earlier, Al-Hilal beat defending Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad Club 3-1 in the quarter-final. They previously finished second in Group B with four points from three matches.
