Serie A giants AC Milan will cross swords with Spanish heavyweights Barcelona in a pre-season 2023 friendly at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Wednesday, August 2. The AC Milan vs Barcelona pre-season friendly will start at 8:30 AM IST.
Under manager Stefano Pioli, AC Milan will be eyeing their first pre-season game of the season. In their previous two pre-season friendlies, they lost 2-3 to Real Madrid and succumbed to a 3-4 loss on penalties after a 2-2 draw with Juventus.
Samuel Chukwueze, Christian Pulisic, Tijjani Reijnders, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Noah Okafor are some of Milan’s new signing, while Sandro Tonali and Lorenzo Colombo are a couple of players who have left the Italian club.
Barcelona, on the other hand, have played two pre-season friendlies so far, winning once and losing the other. Xavi’s men lost 3-5 to Arsenal in their first pre-season friendly match before beating arch-rivals Real Madrid 3-0 in their second friendly on Sunday.
The Catalans have roped in midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, Inigo Martinez, Trilli, Diego Percan, Mikayil Faye, and Oriol Romeu in the summer transfer window, and they will be hoping that their new acquisitions can gel and get to know each other before La Liga gets underway.
Both teams boast quite a few game-changers in their squad, which means we can expect an exciting game of football as the sides look to build their fitness before the start of their respective domestic campaigns.
