Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace drew 1–1 on May 5, 2025, with both teams settling for a point after a balanced match. This set Nottingham with 61 points, following a win and a defeat. Crystal Palace, however, remained in 12th place with their humble 46 points and three consecutive draws.

Palace’s Eberechi Eze started the flow by scoring a goal for his team, but just after four minutes, Nottingham’s Murillo equalised the score when he bypassed the goalkeeper Dean Henderson. The excitement grew as the hosts desperately tried to regain dominance.

Towards the end, Palace’s substitute Eddie Nketiah scored a last-minute goal after redirecting Eze’s shot. Unfortunately, the offside flag was raised when it happened, meaning he was in an offside position.

Despite efforts in both the first and second halves, the game ended in a draw.
