Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma (ROM) travel to Turin to take on Juventus (JUV) in Matchweek 8 of the Serie A 2021-22 season in the early hours of Monday, October 18 (per IST).

JUV vs ROM Dream11 prediction

Although Juventus dominate their head-to-head record against AS Roma, having won 19 of their 33 meetings against I Giallorossi, their record in the ongoing season has been extremely troubling. The team has won just three of their seven league matches this season while Roma have won five.

While it’s difficult to predict a winner right away given that Juventus are on a three-match unbeaten run while Roma have lost two of their last five matches, one can expect Mourinho’s team to put on a masterclass show against the Italian giants.

JUV vs ROM Dream11 tips for Serie A 2021-22

Top tip: Best forward

Both teams are facing a selection dilemma ahead of the match as JUV’s Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala are racing against time to get fit. For ROM, young forward Tammy Abraham is ruled out due to an ankle problem as well.

This means Federico Chiesa remains the best option for a forward. The 23-year-old is expected to line up alongside Moise Kean and Federico Bernardeschi and will play a big role in the match.

Top tip: Best midfielder

While Juventus have some firepower in midfield, nothing compares to what ROM’s Lorenzo Pellegrini brings to the table. The 25-year-old midfielder is in scorching form this season having scored four goals and an assist in six league matches and will be a big threat for Juventus’ defence.

Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper

JUV’s Juan Cuadrado is such an underrated player. He may have scored just one league goal so far, but his ability to play across various positions makes him an important member of the team. He should get the nod ahead of Danilo and Alex Sandro against Roma.

As for a goalkeeper, one can opt to go with ROM’s Rui Patricio who has kept three clean sheets so far in the season as opposed to Juventus’ one.

JUV vs ROM probable playing XI

JUV playing XI (probable): Wojciech Szczesny (goalkeeper), Juan Cuadrado, Matthijs de Ligt, Leonardo Bonucci (captain), Alex Sandro, Federico Bernardeschi, Rodrigo Bentancur, Manuel Locatelli, Dejan Kulusevski, Moise Kean, Federico Chiesa

ROM playing XI (probable): Rui Patricio (goalkeeper), Rick Karsdorp, Gianluca Mancini, Roger Ibanez, Matias Vina, Bryan Cristante, Jordan Veretout, Nicolo Zaniolo, Lorenzo Pellegrini (captain), Henrikh Mkhitaryan; Eldor Shomurodov
