Every ISL jersey ever, since the tournament’s inception in 2014, has played a significant role for Indian football fans in identifying themselves with their beloved club.

For the ISL 2020-21 season, here is a look at the brand new football kits that clubs will be wearing for their campaigns.

ATK Mohun Bagan FC

ATK will enter the competition as a brand new entity, having joined forces with I-League 2019-20 champions, Mohun Bagan. The rechristened ATK Mohun Bagan FC have decided to go full traditional by paying homage to the iconic status of the historic Kolkata club. This season, the ISL defending champions will take the field in Green and Maroon colours.

“In the colours that are synonymous with the glorious club, the kits are a celebration of the rich footballing culture and tradition of our passionate Mariners,” the club said in a statement.

The away jersey for ATK Mohun Bagan, on the other hand, will be white with two Green and Maroon stripes running through the middle.

Bengaluru FC

Bengaluru FC have seen the return of JSW Group as their primary sponsor. Their home kit features a traditional blue tint with a white collar, succeeding in keeping their ISL jersey simple yet classic.

The team logo, on the other hand, features three stars above it representing their champions tag -- two I-League titles and one in ISL. As far as their away kit is concerned, it will be an all-white one featuring red and yellow seams on its sleeves and collar as a homage to the State of Karnataka.

Chennaiyin FC

Chennaiyin FC decided not to tinker with their ISL jersey design from ISL 2019, as the two-time ISL champions will don their familiar navy blue colour kit. While Apollo Tyres has been retained as their primary sponsor, the addition of Dafa News - to be embedded at the back - is something new this season.

SC East Bengal

The newcomers in the upcoming season of the Indian Super League setup, SC East Bengal’s kits have been designed by the Kolkata-based designer Meghna Nayak, who has brought in every feature upholding the historic club’s heritage.

With Shree Cement being their primary sponsor, the home kit is a mix of the traditional red and yellow colours with the traditional flame design embedded at the bottom. The away kit represents the scales of the famous ‘Ilish’ or Hilsa fish and it runs an all-white shade with blue colour acquiring the sleeves and a bit of texture splashed.

The third kit has been designed to be all black with stripes of the Royal Bengal Tiger on the sides, and yellow colour on the collar.

FC Goa

Taking inspiration from ‘Uzzo’, the Konkani word for ‘fire’, FC Goa set social media ablaze when they announced their new kit for ISL 2020-21. Goa, who finished at the top of the ISL points table last season, will be seen in a bright orange kit that has a texture of ‘Uzzo’ on it.

The Gaurs’ away ISL jersey features a plain black colour with shades of orange shade on the collar, sleeves and the bottom.

Hyderabad FC

After featuring an all-black tint last season Hyderabad FC have decided to add yellow to the pallet. A thick diagonal black stripe runs across the kit, which has a slim white band around it. The collar and the sleeves feature a black stripe as well.

Their away shirt is exactly opposite, where Hyderabad FC players will wear a black jersey with yellow stripes featuring on the band, sleeves and collar.

Jamshedpur FC

Jamshedpur FC will continue to don their traditional ISL jersey, which has a red flavour in the front and a pinch of navy blue on the sleeves and collar. What stands out the most is the sculptural design that has been embroidered at the bottom of the shirt.

Meanwhile, TATA Steel will continue to be their shirt sponsor and it will be manufactured by Nivia.

Kerala Blasters FC

Celebrating the culture of Kerala, the Kerala Blasters FC had decided to ask their fans to design a concept ISL jersey for their third kit. The winner was a certain 20-year-old B.Sc student from Christ University.

The Tuskers will be seen in their customary Yellow and Blue colour home shirt this season, with Byju’s as their primary sponsor. While the away shirt screams loud with its blue tint, Kerala Blasters’ third kit is arguably the most pleasing amongst all the ISL jerseys.

Running on the white shade are the elements of the 'Tusker' across the shirt. It also has different badges paying tribute to the heroes of the pandemic. There are badges for the police, brooms for the sanitation workers, a stethoscope over the globe, and the protective hands around the globe depict the doctors and nurses.

Mumbai City FC

Mumbai City FC decided to go with a lighter shade of their familiar blue kit for ISL 2020-21, although that isn’t the only change in their kit.

With Puma as their shirt manufacturers, the kit has its traditional honeycomb template in both home and away shirt, which runs a whole gamut of yellow shade. Meanwhile, Dafa News has replaced the previous sponsors and will be visible right in front.

NorthEast United FC

Like a couple of clubs this season, NorthEast United FC’s kit will be unchanged for ISL 2020-21. The club will continue to sport an all-red home jersey, which will have a vertical black grip on the shoulder and at the bottom.

Odisha FC

Like several teams in the list, Odisha FC decided to pay homage to the culture of the state and celebrate the khaanti (pure) Odia spirit. With T10 Sports being the manufacturers, Odisha FC’s home ISL jersey combines black with purple.

The bottom half of the shirt has a unique design that represents the cultural and architectural richness of the state. The away shirt, on the other hand, is white with a purple design on the shoulders. Odisha FC’s third kit is entirely red.
